After I finished the wing I split the body in half by deleting half of the faces. After doing that I duplicated the half of the body and flipped it so it would be a mirror image. Once they were merged together I moved too work on the beak.
I selected the faces I wanted to work with. Then I scaled the the faces down and messed with the vertices to get the shape I wanted before I would extrude it. After the faces were selected again I extruded them out from the head, scaling the end down some before doing this a second time to make the smallest end of the beak. After that I played with the shape till it matched the side drawing.
